Liquid white paint Bob Ross
The Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique requires three Bob Ross Liquid Basecoats, one of which is Liquid White. These basecoats (Liquid White/Black/Clear) help us to blend and match colours directly on the canvas, rather than slaving away on a palette.
Other shades should be thinned with the Liquid White/Black/Clear before being applied over thicker paints. The concept behind this approach is that a thin paint can adhere to a dense paint.
Liquid white is an oil-based primer that takes a long time to dry. For the wet-on-wet process, it’s a must-have.
Prussian blue Bob Ross
The 13 landscape colours created by Bob Ross are specially formulated to have a stiff yet smooth consistency, which is needed for the Ross technique. The darker background colours have more body than the lighter highlight colours. These pigment-rich colours can be mixed to create an infinite range of natural colour variations, and they’re all non-toxic.
